What a Corgi Should NOT
Look Like

Queenie was "spoiled"
by her humans. She was at least 4 times as large as a corgi should
be. "Spoiling" a dog does it no favors; it leads
to significant health and hygiene problems. Learn to say
"NO" from the beginning - keep your dog healthy - and
contrary to what you might think - happy. This was blamed on
"people" food, but is overfeeding pure and simple. Too
much of any type of food will do this. Beware those begging eyes!
Queenie
was set to go into rescue, but something went wrong. In the
rescuer's words: "Well
I went over to Queenie's house today since [other rescue contacts]
have not had the calls/e-mails returned to them. The guy...
already moved..., but the brother of Queenie's father was still
there
moving the rest of the things out of the house...he tells me:
"It's such a sad thing, The lady in MA and on Long Island
BOTH backed down, so I had to put her to sleep. She was poopin'
and peein' in the house anyway."
What
is sad is a life was wasted because someone did not care enough to
try a little harder or care enough to save that life. One more
"disposable" life callously discarded....
Following are a series of sites that provide volumes of information about natural health care and nutrition. I am a strong proponent of feeding a natural, biologically appropriate
diet. I also believe that complementary, non-allopathic health care (and
used in tandem with traditional veterinary care) strengthens and expands
my ability to help my corgis live healthier lives. The links below vary from individual's web pages to medical and governmental information.
Many of them are natural-rearing based, but not all. All of them,
however, are great sources of information about canine health and
nutrition. Although the list is far from complete, it is extensive and I hope you will find it useful.
